Bad habits and Addiction challenge

"Don't let your past steal your present"

For this challenge, you are going to identify your bad habits and addictions.

Not only will you be gobbling down 2 to 3 litres of water a day, walk at least 8000 steps, eat your fruits and vegetables, have the perfect night’s rest, be completely financially independent and know exactly how to be a time superhuman, you will also have the chance to break those nasty habits and addictions! 

  • Get involved and get creative.
  • This challenge will be judged on the photos and videos received. So take a lot!
  • Communication, communication, communication with the NHP wellness team.
The challenges
(For the 21 days) 
“Identify your worst habit or addiction? 
  •  This can be drinking too much alcohol, coffee, smoking, using too much sugar, picking your nose, being on social media the whole day, using too many pain pills or even being a couch potato. 
When do you spend your time doing this? How much time a day do you spend doing it?

Create a plan on how you will wean yourself the next 21 days from breaking this habit or addiction.

Additional challenges to be completed:

Making something special (15 points):
Here is what you are going to do. Make something special with things that you already have. Do not buy anything. It can be something very small. Pick 10 people in your life or even some random people that you don’t know and give it to them to make their day! 
Be warned you will not receive any points if it includes chocolate or anything that is unhealthy. There are better ideas than to give someone sweets or chocolates. 
Use the time you always used for your bad habit or addiction in order to do this. 
Create a fun walk for your friends and colleagues (15 points):
With this challenge you need to create your own fun walk for your friends and family. It should be at least 3km or more with 3 or more people not including you. Planned walks will count. This should be your own initiative.

Remember, you can cheat others, but you can’t cheat yourself!
  • Include 2 to 4 liters of water daily. 
  • Eat 3 to 5 portions of fruit and vegetables. 
  • Walk at least 8 000 steps a day. 
  • Stay in proper routine in order to get a good night’s rest. 
  • Continue to budget and stick to it. 
  • Live a simplified life through better time management. 

All additional challenges should include a 2 to 4 minute video and enough photos. We want to really see your effort. We would like to see the creativity, spirit, enthusiasm and originality in the challenges.
